WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Threatening

This was the sky last evening and yes it rained all night.
I didn't mind though, we were cosy in the boat and I slept like a log.
What a difference rainwater makes to the garden too. Everything seemed to have grown overnight.

We came back to the house today as the weather doesn't look good over the next few days and although we love being on board in any weather we don't much like having a wet dog in the boat.

Once home I scoured the internet for another ukulele. I found the one I wanted and it's ordered :-) I already have 3! I keep a soprano one at Sabrina's in Scotland, then I have a tenor uke and a baritone. I've had a few ukes and sold them on. I always go for Kala ukuleles - they are excellent. The wood they are made of makes a difference to the sound they put out. My present Tenor is made of cedar and acacia, it's very nice but I wanted one with a solid spruce top as the sound is brighter and just nicer. I had one and sold it but always regretted it.
I could sell the other one unless Frank wants to play it.

I plan to do some sewing this weekend, patchwork or some applique.

My knee has been very achey the last few days. I had a phone call from the Dr today and she said to exercise it gently but to rest it and keep on with antiflammatory pills or gel and to get in touch if it's no better in a couple of weeks. It's a case of waiting but I'm impatient!

Anyway, we're watching some comedy telly now.
Have a good weekend everyone and stay safe as lockdown eases :-/ x
