Always take a map !

I love maps.
Holidays in the Townsend household was always started by the purchase of a map of the area we are going to (Usually an area of wild country between Scotland and Cornwall) and spend time checking the area.
I am a collector of old maps, especially ones with covers of paintings, in the past this cover could have been designed and painted by one of the engineer who had been working on the mapping of the area. Examples on top of the maps
