Covid Closure
The council, in its infinite wisdom, has closed certain roads and created one-way systems on the pretext of making them safer for the increased number of cyclists and pedestrians going about for their recreation during the Lockdown period. Strangely, some of these were proposed a long time before Covid 19 was identified. This is one that affects us, passing the entrance to the Hermitage of Braid, where there is normally a line of parked cars. It is to be hoped that, after lockdown is ended, the traffic will be restored to these roads, which provide links to other routes and prevent congestion on the bus routes.
This is the third day in a row that we have been out in the car, first for our click-and-collect groceries, next to the church to collect music for choir practice and today to the pharmacist for my prescription. I feel quite the gadabout!
