Bits and Bobs

The weather has been pretty miserable here all day - the best that can be said for it is that at least I havent had to water the garden. 

As a consequence I have been mainly sedentary, spending time on my family tree researching ancestors and would-be ancestors from East Lothian in the late 1600s/early 1700s. 

This sits on my desk - the dish was painted by daughter many years ago and on sits some badges from Pitlochry Festival Theatre, a chesnut from our holiday in France last year, a blue stone which was my daughters, a brooch with a photo of my dad and aunt as children, curtain hooks and paper clips: a somewhat electic mix.
