Sunspotting

For the first time in months a sunspot is rotating into view around the edge of the Sun. It's only small (for a sunspot) but you take what you can get. Also visible are some brighter streaks around the spot known as faculae.
The sun was setting as I took this so appears tilted; imagine a line running between 10 o'clock and 4 o'clock, that's the Sun's equator.
The colour is fairly accurate as the Sun emits white light in the visible spectrum, any yellow or orange colours are due to the Earth's atmosphere only letting the longer wavelengths through.
