Fruit trees and bushes

It was an exciting day in the garden today as the following trees and bushes were planted next to our apple tree: strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, pineberry and gooseberry. Here's hoping that (a) they flourish and (b) the birds don't spot them.

By the way, the slabs in the blip are a temporary measure. Some more handsome ones are on order. Oh, and this is definitely NOT a pet cemetery, despite what my not-so-little sister thinks!

Other activities today included my morning walk (Holyrood and swans) and work (groan - because I am officially on leave): email shovelling, helping to finalise a conference poster with Bruce and Gemma, posting details of accepted papers to the University repository (all my recent submissions were successful - hurrah!). I also spent an hour or so on my secret recreational project.

Exercise today: walking (14,171 steps).
