Cygnet

Taken at a small lake (known locally as the Gouille) in between showers this afternoon. There were 4 in total but the others were resting (see extras). We were amazed how tiny their wings were considering how big these birds have grown already. Their mum and dad were standing guard so I didn’t get too close. It had been a day of paperwork and DIY shopping but we stopped here for a short walk before going home. How typical that it started to rain as soon as we got out of the car!
