Moorhen chick

This morning I did some watercolour painting then this afternoon went for a walk around the village. 

I saw two jeuvenile chiffchaffs but they didn't hang around long enough for me to get a photo.  The parent was there going "Chiff chaff" but the chicks were just going "Chiff chiff".

While walking around I saw a grey wagtail on the moat butfor my blip  chose this shot of two of the moorhen chicks.  They've really grown since in the five days since I saw them first.  I love their long gangly black legs!
