Foxgloves

The woods are looking so pretty at the moment with foxgloves everywhere, so I had to get a photo of them today. I love this time of year as we get all the different wild flowers appearing, from bluebells, forget me nots, dandelions, daisies and now foxgloves, but sadly I think foxgloves are now the last of them.

It has been another cooler day but still no rain, everything is so dry. I made a tomato soup for lunch, then after lunch I did some ironing and then made supper as I have book club tonight and wanted supper to be ready early. I made a lamb, lentil and aubergine curry - we eat so little red meat these days I cannot remember when I last had red meat.

I heard that a local resident went and cleared up the mess after the travellers visit at the river, not fair that they did not remove all their litter.
