Tour Down Under

I spent a good part of Australia Day (morning)waiting for, and then briefly seeing the riders go past. Aldinga is a beautiful beachside location, so the waiting was certainly pleasant. I photographed herons feeding on the mudflats until it was time to be at the kerbside for the flashpast.? I sat low on the kerb and almost didn't pull my feet away in time...people were stepping out into the road edge in front of me, blocking the view of the oncoming bikes & I didn't realise how close the bikes were to my side (the wrong side of the road actually). I took some wheel's-eye views at this location. But then I had to drive through the hills heading to Meadows, trying to find a way that didn't intersect with the on-going race. It was amazing to see so many people parked at the roadsides and set up comfortably for the day with chairs, (sunshade)umbrellas & picnic provisions. Then I caught the race again at an intersection in McLaren Vale and took this shot. I was happy with it.?
