Rainy days

A shock to the system having a rainy day!!
Lucie treated it like it was still sunny, out barefooted in a tshirt jumping on the trampoline very happily. Soaked through when she eventually came in!
Sammy loves a rainy day, he’s a snuggle bug and very much enjoys sitting quietly, comfortable and warm.
Jack goes between the two depending how he feels. And sometimes manages to get them both to do what he wants which often is dressing up, sitting on his ride on diggers and having a sword fight.
I felt accomplished as a mother for about 30 minutes today when I bravely got out the paints, put all three in aprons and for a very very short while they were engrossed!
It only took me popping upstairs to set up the laptop for Sammys tuition hour for it all to go to pot. On my return lucie had squeezed paint into hers and jacks hands, they’d rubbed it all together to make their hands and half their arms a thick brown colour and then Lucie panicked when she realised she could not now control the painted up two year old who was running about touching many things including soft furnishings.
20 mins fun, hours clearing up. Lesson learned, don’t turn your back for a minute.
