Showing off the New Camera.

It's a bit late in the day for posting a blip, well, it's now tomorrow; the blip is the first from what a certain young lady derisively calls a "cheapo" camera, there could be a row starting up over this. Although it was much the same price as my old one, they do seem to have got the design right, it even has its own built-in sat-nav - though the first thing I did was to turn the darn thing off, the batteries in compact cameras aren't man enough to take on that sort of task.
The sad thing is that today's photography time was spent playing with it instead of taking real pictures.

Performance seems pretty good for the money, unlike the old one it holds its resolution over the full zoom range, the auto focus can pick out small close-up detail against the back-ground and the macro seems pretty good although I will probably stay with my Heath-Robinson technique of sticking a close-up lens on with Blue-tack; I understand what's going on with that method. But, the main reason for getting it was that it shoots in raw, I have yet to explore that province.

So, all-in-all, I'm a happy little boy.
