Berylline Baby
Vacation back blip #2. Find the first, a coatimundi, here
I posted a photo of this chubby little hummingbird who sits in a Pycantha bush earlier in my vacation. I caught him again, this time begging for food. We all thought this was the only Berylline in the area but after taking and sharing this with others (and Steve, the owner) we realized this was a baby and there must be an adult female around. This species of hummingbird is such a rare sight this side of the Mexican border that no one realized this wasn't an adult. I feel like Magellan!
