Low Tide
And the inshore reef is exposed.
I've always wondered how these "circles" came about (near bottom centre left) and there are many of them. It makes me think of fossilized bark left behind from an ancient forest. There are twiggy bits here and there too. My thoughts are that it's an extension of the Limestone Coast features which officially begin at Young Husband Peninsula (near Goolwa) and extends to the border with Victoria.
Have searched the web and cannot find any geological reports of this bit of coast though lots on the coast to the east and west.
Further exploration will be undertaken.
Is that the curve of the earth or my camera lens distorting the horizon?
