Camouflaged...

...or at least it thinks it is! This is my friendly little squirrel buddy who paid me a visit as I sat outside in the shade of my backyard. I happened to look up from my book and saw him sitting not three feet away, and as soon as he saw I was looking at him, he went up on his hind legs with his paws together, begging. So, dutifully trained human that I am, I went and got some peanuts. It scurried off when I got up, but was back as soon as I sat down. I tossed it one peanut, which it grabbed & then ran in front of the cherry tree where it stood motionless for a bit, as if to make sure no other squirrels had noticed, then ran to hide it. Soon it was back, so I tossed another, which it grabbed and went back to the tree. Same thing: sat quietly for about 5 seconds then went and deposited the peanut somewhere & came back for more. He did it all 5 times in a row, and I think he was disappointed when I told him 5 was the limit!  
Other than my walk this morning, I've been doing a whole lot of nothing, & it felt good!  Happy Hump day to you all and stay safe.
