Starling Frenzy

A feeding frenzy was happening in and under the lilac trees today. I’ve seen starlings in our yard but never at our feeders. There were up to six at a time, mostly interested in the suet cake. Once I started watching more carefully I realized what all the fuss was about. There were two fledglings demanding food, while the adults were doing their best to accommodate their young-ones’ demands. These two were on the ground underneath the trees, baby on left.
