Busy Moorhens in the Rain

Over to The Folks today. They had an appointment at the Podiatry clinic so we set off out again virtually straight away, once we had persuaded my Mum that she did indeed have an appointment and did need to attend. I walked them to the door when we arrived and then waited in the car and read my book for half an hour as they only let actual clients in. 

Once we got back to theirs there was enough time to sort out their lunch and then Jae fetched me home. 

I went into town to get some prawns for tea and something for my Mum's birthday, which I will take tomorrow when I go over. 

There's a real contrast in the weather since yesterday - it is much cooler and has drizzled virtually all day. I should have saved my indoor Blip for today, but I took my camera to town, and this shot of the moorhens, who were very busy with nest-building, is the only halfway reasonable shot I took.
