Parched Earth
With the promise of overnight rain, I did not water my borders yesterday evening. We put the outdoor rugs and chairs in the garage and I swept the patio.
Bar a spit and spot, it has not rained.
It is cooler but still feels fairly warm. Too warm for the raincoat I wore for this morning's dry walk.
The ground and garden could do with a soak but I don't think we will get nearly enough in Wiltshire.
The extra photos shows markings that have appeared in the grass at the top of the locks. It looks as though caravans or tents have been there but they certainly have not in recent years.
I have made today's calls to the club members. All is well.
In the afternoon I made a Lemon and poppy seed cake.
