Apple Flan

Had three Bramley apples and two sticks of rhubarb that needed using up, so made a compote with the rhubarb and one apple and spread that on the puff pastry base with the other two apples sliced on top. Quite easy to do (especially with James Martin’s recipe to follow) and very satisfied with the result.
