A Picnic Table Waits...
Just as you drive into Kramfors, coming from the coast, there is a large lake on your right. This is Kyrkviken (Church Bay) and it has this name because a) the church is by the side of the lake, and b) because in times gone by people came to the church over the bay, by boat in summer and on the ice in the winter.
We were in Kramfors because there is a problem with the Kia Ceed so we were handing it into the workshop there. As we drove by the lake I'd spotted a new walkway along the side of the lake so having left the car at the workshop we looked for this path, and quickly found it. It led around the lake, back towards town and finished at the local boat jetty (see extra). The path is fairly new and when the town set it up they put QR codes along the path, leading via your smart phone to information on Kramfors and the path's sponsoring companies. The picnic tables, benches and raised walkway were the more tangible benefits of the path.
The car needs a new brake disc, so we'll be back next week when the workshop will have the part needed.
