Afterwards, the drive out of London was as frustrating as it nearly always is (the M11 northbound was closed), but once I'd got to Milton Keynes on the M1 everything was fine and, given that I managed to get from Stafford Services to my house in Edinburgh in a little over three-and-a-half hours, I think I might've even broken the UK land speed record at several points on the M6.
