Mono Monday - Impromptu

It is a public holiday today (Whit Monday) so nothing was planned except for a BBQ lunch. This morning I suddenly remembered that I hadn't checked out the Elderflowers nearby so I made an Impromtu dash to the forest. I grabbed scissors and a cloth bag and Hubby to help with pulling down the high branches. Some flowers were ready for picking and we picked about 20 heads. I only had enough sugar and lemons for half the recipe of Elderflower cordial. I piled the flowers on the stove top to take a photo, breathing in the wonderful perfume.
