The delights of the British Educational Technology Show today. It was all going very mediocrely till I spent an hour with the development team of a product we use in a 6ft by 4 ft 'back-stage' space..,

Out front lots of smiley people in slacks and corporate t shirts...BACK stage the developers -

1 25 year old Eastern European with soul beard, eerily smooth skin and mad staring eyes. Comedy Borat accent.

1 30 year, 7 ft, 20 stone bear of a man with thick beard and teeny eyes. Mute.

1 35 year old, 3 piece suit, curly-haired team leader who could easily appear as the next Dr Who if the next Doctor was autistic. Public school clipped and precise.

And finally

1 stick thin, super short, nervous, high pitched man of indeterminate age (25 - 45) who acted as the collective hive mind voice for shared decision making between them all. Pronounced Lancashire accent.

What a team!
