Day 72 The last one
Last day at home today before the official return to full time in-school teaching. I've been working all the way through lockdown but one day in school and then 4 at home. Now it's going to be the opposite with 1 day on no contact on Tuesdays which are my PPA and portal days and then the other 4 in my class bubble with my Year 2 key worker's children. We're getting a full day at home as we still have to manage all the work on the portal for those at home, make regular phone calls to and answer emails from parents whose children aren't in school and plan all of the work for those in school. We'll then join in with the staff meeting via Zoom while the rest of the staff are in school. If that doesn't work, we're expected to go in for it.
I worked during the afternoon and evening just uploading the portal work and planning what to do on the Monday. I struggled to get back into it and felt really anxious about returning to school.
Dan made a delicious lemon drizzle for pudding this morning and Michelle came over again for a socially distanced lunch. In the evening they went in separate cars to the Wrekin to watch the sunset before she returned home.
Chris and I went for a walk, I went on the exercise bike and Chris cycled to Pontesbury to see his parents for the first time in weeks.
In the news, Space X's mission to the ISS was completed when the astronauts arrived safely and entered the ISS. They've named the rocket Endeavour. This is the first time that a private company has provided a 'taxi service' for astronauts.
