Birthday Adventure Blip
Back to Cuba (New Mexico) for a hike around a very special, hidden spot Glen and I discovered about 3 years ago. I wish I could blip all the great photos I took! Elevation 6,800 feet = 2073 meters This is public land, not a park but a conservation area. You have to drive an hour and a half, down several wilderness roads, but it is well worth the time and effort.
Once again you can see El Cabezon Peak in the background. The one we climbed a few weeks ago.
This place is so magical we named it "Mystic Cuba" Sandstone hoodoos and bluffs, orange and red rocks, shaman stones (that's what they're called), Ponderosa Pine, and more.
