Logging On

With the male flying frantically overhead the female emperor laid her eggs on the log just below the surface of the canal water; on my side of the bank too which was a stroke of luck.

Another blisteringly hot day and I think this dragon had the right idea doing a bit of paddling. 600 shots later trying to get a photo of dragons patrolling their territory at speed I called it a day. A fair few now to go through but I need to set up the trail cam for tonight. I could see the fox earlier in the evening light waiting for her tea so she is getting an egg and peanuts.
