The village pond

This particular pond is outside a popular pub, the Orange Tree, not far from us. I was hoping to see some birds, perhaps ducklings, but none there. A lot of the ponds are drying up, so little rain but this one seems to be ok at present.
We spent the rest of the day sitting on our bench at the allotment, chatting with various other plot holders and a zoom quizz with family later on. A slowly pleasant day.

On another note our youngest grandson, 4, starts back at school today. He will go from 9am until 2pm and will be in a group of 10, it will be the same 10 children each day with the same teacher. The class has been divided into 3, two teachers from other classes not yet attending will take the other two groups.
