Main activity: Sat - drive to Virginia Beach
Notes: Pulled out around 8a for the 3.5-ish hr drive south. Stopped midway for Target/Publix (bathroom, outdoor table and then fresh flowers). In to Mic's friend Veronika's and there for awhile before heading to Simple Eats for great lunch - long with wait and leisurely eating/dessert. On finally the other 20 min to the beach hotel - great end room on 8th floor with fantastic ocean views, breezes and sounds of waves. Got some drinks nearby (rum punch and margarita) and sat on the balcony. Later walked down to a little Veteran Brewery for pomegranate IPA (Revolting Blob) and fried pickles - very good. Chaotic streets so we walked back on the beach
