A Mixed Bag
I went out with the 500mm mirror lens on the camera this morning.
It is a beast to use - manual, no stabilisation, heavy. You have to have a different way of thinking to use it really and I am not sure I had my head screwed on the right way.
I have hung up a couple of dozen bee houses in the garden (they were just making the table look untidy) and started a new batch (the ones in the garden look a bit lonely).
We were invited to a barbeque by Bags (sartorial elegance or what?) - who it turns out is a really nosy neighbour. But she serves a mean drink.
The Cygnet and Squirrel were very well behaved and while The Cygnet did a great job helping with table setting, serving and clearing up Squirrel entertained us with her water sliding, handstands and amazing hoo-la-hoop skills (she can keep it going for ages without apparently moving).
The son-in-law did a great job with the home made pizzas and meat cooking.
A wonderful afternoon and all done whilst social distancing.
