Enjoying the view (Day 1851)

Another lovely, sunny day.
I spent a little while in the garden this morning, cutting the grass, then attacking a couple of bits of hedge which have been getting in the way while I have been cutting the grass. Access will be a lot easier now, even though the hedge looks fairly horrific.
An earlyish lunch then out to Lyde with my beautiful wife and the woofers. Sigyn decided to cool off by having a wallow in a rank, swampy pool. It doesn't take her long to get completely filthy. Back at home I washed her, so at least she smells a little better now.
HV and I headed for Stromness, and while she worked with Jeeps, I took the truck to the yard and gave it a wash. No doubt it will be covered in bird poo again by the morning. I returned to the field and HV suggested we get out a ride which seemed like a really great idea. George behaved perfectly today and was happy to stand and look at the view from the Gun Viewpoint.
