Bonus Points for Effort

Maggie loves a ridiculously sized stick. She doesn’t want anyone to throw it; she just wants to pick it up & swagger with it. It’s as though, when she sees an oversized stick, she remembers the strength she has in her staffy jaws & shoulders & thinks “ah yeah, I’ve got this”.

This photo was taken from quite a distance (probably because she needed the space for her carrying effort!) but what I like is the way she’s eyeing me as I took the shot. It’s almost like she’s showing off her skill.

(Probably more likely, she’s anticipating being told to drop it!)
