For Dad
Yesterday I decided to alter the legs of Daisy's old desk so that she could still use it in her bedroom. It was keeping me occupied while waiting for updates from family members back home in the States, about my Dad's declining health.
Sadly, he passed away later in the day, at peace in his home, with family. It was frustrating not being able to travel to the US, because of the corona virus travel ban.
I have chosen this photo from yesterday, as this is the kind of project I would have talked about with Dad on the phone. He was always interested in what I was working on, and this is just the sort of skill and approach I learned from him and from his Dad before him.
He was nearly 92, and in his own words had "had a good innings".
