Cool in the shade

Polly has always been a bit of a sun worshipper but even she found it a bit hot today, so she mostly stuck to the shade.

We had planned to pop along to Thursley Common today but decided it was a bit hot for it and it would also be too busy. We were devastated to find out this evening that there’s been a 50-acre wildfire there since this afternoon, still going this evening. So upsetting to think of all the wildlife that must be affected, including potentially Colin the cuckoo, although hopefully he got to safety.
