Julia Rose
Julia Rose
It’s Julia’s birthday on Monday, she would have been 63, and today, in full bloom is the first flower on the Julia Rose, rescued from Mum’s garden when she too passed.
I have spent most of the day lopping, cutting, pruning and pulling out those pesky daffs. They look so lovely in the spring, and in the past I’ve left them to the gardener to deal with. Oh they are a pain to get out, so many of them! We are up to a dozen, possibly more black sacks of garden waste but no chance of a slot at the tip! We can only book up to 25 days in advance and every one. Of those dates was ‘not available’. We will be swimming in black sacks soon!
From Monday we can meet friends from another household in the garden. Looking forward to seeing Stalker this week, and bless her, she’s bought me some of my favourite tea that I can’t get here!
Happy days.
