Snake in the grass

Gyp found this snake today but it didn't want to play and slid back into the long grass.

Solid blue sky all day. Seems ages since we saw a single cloud. Hot sun exhausting as still working hard on pool. Just finished filling it but can't turn pump on as there now seems to be a leak on the system.
Don't feel I can ring pool man late on the Saturday evening of a holiday weekend.
