Preparing for take off...

Wasn't sure what we were going to do today. Just before lunch I went to empty the washing machine to find it standing in a pool of water. The water wasn't soapy, but clearly there was a leak somewhere. We removed various things and pulled it out. Not sure what we are going to do, a quick inspection later on and I couldn't see the source of the water, it was clearly coming from the inside, but there wasn't any obvious locations. It's a 12 year old John Lewis (Elextrolux), and has been faultless so far.

After lunch we went for a walk on the beach to check out the sea temperatures, the water was cool but not freezing. I took several pictures but in the middle of the day the light is quite harsh, and things can have more contrast that the poor camera can cope with, even with a polariser filter applied - I probably should have tried the ND filter... Anyway today's blip is a gup preparing to take off and the extra is what it was taking off from, though you wouldn't know unless you've been here.
