Chinese Lantern ...

... At least what's left of it.

I had planned not to comment on the dismal weather. But I can't deny that it rained again a major part of the day. What cleanup work should be done in the backyard. I found a pod of a Chinese Lantern plant. The pod was quite weatherworn. But in fact useful for a blip.

Dark weather required additional light to get the pod properly exposed. But a flash gave an unsatisfactory result. Even with the use of a diffusor. The wet pod reflected too much light back. A small Gerber RGB mini electric torch gave the desired result.

I used a longer exposure time and light painted the inside of the pod ... ;)
