We can now only pick the short straw, or put it another way, we're in Catch 22 purgatory. Due to this government's actions we are no longer following "the science" - if we were lockdown would not be being eased the way it is. They've decided now to go down the economic route - i.e. accept more deaths to avoid a deeper recession. The track and trace is already proving to be not fit for purpose, the "world-beating app" will not be ready until the end of June at the earliest and many observers are saying it probably won't work anyway. A second wave, which could have been avoided, now looks much more likely. What an unmitigated shambles.
