Mating Damsels

Another very hot day.  We went to Foulshaw Moss this morning but there was not a lot to be seen.  The chasers were patrolling their territories and warding off invaders while the damselflies were mostly coupled together for mating.  Here are a pair of large red damselflies with the male grasping the female behind the head.
