WFH Day #47
FRIDAY
A quick 5 km run on the treadmill and a session on the rowing machine in the garden before starting work.
I was glad that our home office is at the front of the house because tree surgeons were working in the vicinity and have, over the course of the day, removed a massive 40 year old poplar tree. It will make such a difference to the early evening sunshine in the back garden.
Another hot day and the buddleia globosa at the side of the driveway was buzzing with hundreds of bees and the occasional butterfly.
This evening we had a pleasant walk down the Black Brook valley. As well as some quite large fish in the brook, we spotted a buzzard (see extras).
We had to dash back the last kilometre following a phone call that our take away fish and chips had been delivered slightly early and were waiting for us on the patio table. Our first take away fish and chips (with proper tartare sauce and mushy peas) for around four months and delicious they were.
Finally my iPhone screen protector has cracked again and this time I don't know how. A quick website chat with Belkin (lifetime guarantee) and a new screen protector is on its way.
Scraped up just over 100,000 steps since Monday.
