North North West - yes this is a WW1 prismatic field compass which belonged to my great uncle Willie who survived the battle of Gallipoli in Turkey - he survived a lot more horrors only to be killed by the so-called "Spanish 'Flu" in 1919.

I'm beginning to ask those creepy "What if?" questions...
