Day 67 Painterly
Painterly is the theme for today's AT challenge, set by our host,Ingeborg. I did try some shots of the garden but in the end decided that the now drying tulips looked best with the addition of a palette knife effect applied in PS Elements.
Another day of sunshine and warmth, although it had turned a little cooler by the evening, which I didn't mind at all.
This afternoon I had another virtual coffee and chat with my friend H after which it quickly seemed time to sort out dinner as we like to eat before going out to Clap for Carers. This is the tenth week that this has been done and its founder, AnneMarie Plas feels that it is time to stop, making it instead an annual event. I'm inclined to agree: it loses its meaning if repeated too many times. Our street marked the end with the appearance of 2 dinosaurs parading up and down the road, much to everyone's amusement. We agreed with our neighbours that we should pop out to chat each week, if not to clap.
In other news: there was plenty of news tonight, with some fairly significant changes. From Monday, in England we can meet in groups of up to 6, socially distanced, in both private and public outdoor spaces. I rather think that large numbers of people have been doing that for sometime now. The other piece of news is that dental surgeries can open from 8 June, albeit news delivered in a very low key manner. It is likely that at first, only a limited range of treatments will be offered but certainly rather more than just yanking teeth out!
