Life on the Mothership!

Day LXXIX

There is very little the Hokey Cokey can’t do! Uncontrollable crying from Big Fish tonight. No idea why, it just happens out of the blue sometimes for what appears to be no reason. Lasted for about 30 mins tonight before bedtime. Once he was in bed I sang the Hokey Cokey and suddenly life is good again. It used to be a couple of times a week, but this is the first time in 79 days. Big Fish sleeps on his stomach to help with his secretions, he used to drown in them previously even with endless suctioning and he wouldn’t tolerate his Cpap mask lying on his back as it used to annoy him continuously. It is only since coronavirus and what I know now about lungs and turning people on their stomachs to free up their lungs that I realise that this is what has kept Big Fish alive since his very negative outlook given to him in 2015 when he very nearly ended up with a tracheostomy. The mask usually goes on as soon as he is in bed but because of the tears I’m leaving it off until I go to bed in about 10 minutes.
