Surprise!

This morning began with me opening the parasol only for Sammy to yell his head off and when I looked up there was a huge stag beetle! We got him down into a box and to have a good look at him and measure him, recording our find online as they’re endangered. He was almost 7cm long!! We put him at the back of the garden in a quiet spot.
Today there’s been a lot of baby role play, lots of ‘parenting’, washing, feeding and nappy changing. Almost all my spare nappies are on dolls and soft toys around the house.
A gorgeous evening cycle with the big two tonight. But again poor Lucie was distraught going to bed. I had to go up and down the stairs numerous times to calm her. Eventually, almost two hours after she went to bed, she finally dropped off.
