Quiet (and not so quiet) waters

We cycled from Haverthwaite up the eastern side of Coniston, and were amazed how busy it was, every layby was full of cars. We cycled on to Esthwaite, and had a peaceful lunch watching Ospreys on their nest across the lake. On our way back home we wanted a spot to swim; High Dam was obviously going to be busy, but the nearby Boretree Tarn was deserted.
