Deciding to fledge - or not!

Well he did fledge and being inquisitive came round the pond and was being fed by both parents. Then as I was having a coffee in the garden I noticed that he hd fallen into the pond having explored the stones around the edge of the pond. He couldn't get out so I had to lift him out and put him somewhere warm to dry as he was shivering. A bit later with dry feathers I saw that the parents were feeding him again. Whew. What a chance they take on leaving the nest.
