Another season passes by you
Tonight was the "Final" Clap for Carers.
Tooli and I have enjoyed coming out and clapping alongside our neighbours, shouting hellos, and waving to those further along the road.
Tonight, we weren't at home.
We were all at the allotment.
As we prepared to clap, together - we were astounded to hear the church bells ring out, the boats in the harbour honking their horns, and music playing from the stable houses along the road. Everyone in the allotment clapped along with us, it was a glorious way to finish off.
We finished all the bits and pieces we had to do - Si was filling the water butts - Tooli and I were collecting branches from the woods to hold up the peas. That was exhausting and dangerous. Tooli was stung by nettles and I got a skelf. We are hopeless.
On the way home i took the car to the side of the road and ran - you couldn't not look at this sunset and not just stop and inhale it.
