Another day, another heron...

Having heard there was a grey heron being seen regularly in a local nature reserve, it was worth a trip to see it.

The heron was in the middle of a small pond with a rather excited audience of small children. It waited patiently until the  children moved on and then popped up to the top of a tree for a bit of peace.

I thought that made a different view of the bird for today's blip.

Also, this morning, I came across my first damselfly of the season - see my extra for a red darter.
