I can safely say I would rather walk than ride this thing even if I was trying to escape a volcanic eruption.

The basket is full of shoes and there's a naughty sticker on it meaning the previous owner came to the same conclusion as me and abandoned it.  They may have also foregone shoes to walk the earth like Caine (played by David Carradine)  in the TV show, Kung Fu.
