The road ahead

I walked to our old house after dinner. Two days ago, work started on constructing a temporary road where our back garden was. Or, to be more precise, still is. It looks like they are doing two houses a day and our house is number seven, so maybe Friday our back garden will be gone. I think this will lead to some mixed emotions with me and my family.

When I returned to our current home, I watched the coverage of the SpaceX launch. The spacecraft was going to pass over Europe and with the clear skies we were having, I prepared for an attempt to photograph the craft flying by. The launch was cancelled (or “scrubbed” as it is apparently called) but there may be a new opportunity on Saturday.
